Jump and save the planet!

An article in today's La Repubblica (link above) describes a bizarre 'movement' which aims to get everyone in the Western hemisphere to jump at the same time on a day next year, which will supposedly nudge the Earth into a new orbit further from the Sun, thus mitigating the effects of global warming. You can either shake your head at the sheer weirdness of it, if true, or at the audacity of the hoax, if it's not. Either way, it's a good laugh.

Mind you, if they're to reach their target of 600 million jumpers, they'd do well to produce pages in HTML, not in pure Flash...
