About this Collection

Categories

The collection is broken up into six broad categories, each of which contains various sub-categories. The 'top level' categories are described below, or to see a schematic of the collection as a whole have a look at the overview.

General	Sites which aren't tied to any particular language, or which deal in cross-language topics (eg linguistics, translation).
Language Specific	Sites devoted to, and/or written in, a specific language (eg national newspapers).
Multilingual	Sites concerned with more than one language. (eg literature in multiple languages)
Search Engines	Country-specific search engines, which allow you to search Internet sites in a specific country or geographical area.
Internet	Sites related to the use of the Internet as a medium for language teaching and learning, including browser-based CALL software.
Commercial	Companies selling language products and services. As from 10/9/06, this section is no longer being maintained and updated.
