 This is a collection of annotated links to websites of use to both teachers
         and learners of languages.  NB: I receive many requests for sites to be included in this collection. Before submitting a request, please have a look at my criteria for inclusion. All emails addressed to 'dear webmaster' are summarily deleted - if you can't be arsed to address me by name, I can't be arsed to read your email.  About this Collection CategoriesThe collection is broken up into six broad categories, each of which 
        contains various sub-categories. The 'top level' categories are described 
        below, or to see a schematic of the collection as a whole have a look 
        at the overview. 
         
          | General | Sites which aren't tied to any particular 
            language, or which deal in cross-language topics (eg linguistics, 
            translation). |   
          | Language Specific | Sites devoted to, and/or written 
            in, a specific language (eg national newspapers). |   
          | Multilingual | Sites concerned with more than one language. 
            (eg literature in multiple languages) |   
          | Search Engines | Country-specific search engines, which 
            allow you to search Internet sites in a specific country or geographical 
            area. |   
          | Internet | Sites related to the use of the Internet 
            as a medium for language teaching and learning, including browser-based 
            CALL software. |   
          | Commercial | Companies selling language 
            products and services. As from 10/9/06, this section is no longer being maintained and updated. |    |
